This blog is to honor those who have come before us. These are family letters that I have had for years and wanted to be able to share them with family. It's an interesting way of knowing how life was in the past.

LETTERS FROM THE PAST

Myron F Taylor with 3 of his buddies in 1952. Over the last 20 years I've been working on our family letters. Letters that have been passed down. Including letters from my parents to my great-grandmother. Every letter was saved by my great grandmother and grandmother. I hope someday to either print them or give them to a museum. I am copying the letters–not being able to photocopy all of them. Each letter is in script. I know today very few can read them. I hope you enjoy them.

Some Photo's Someone Almost Lost - WWII Photos

 About a couple months ago, someone had given my mother some books to give away to friends. They were quilt books, embroidery books, etc. While going through these books, I found the following photos and information.

In all these photos I wasn't able to figure out who "myself" is. 


Back Safely - one of our ships returning from a mission. 




The photos were returned to the person who gave mom the books. She said they didn't know they had these because they thought it was lost in the fire. 

I couldn't let them go back without being able to document them. These are photos that are usually lost today. WWII was a hard time for everyone. Finding photos is what I have been doing. I want to know more about what my great Uncle went through. I know it was hard. 

I give thanks to those who fought for our country.
